It’s not just the Jews and Amish that would like a suit like modest swimwear. Personally, I don’t wear swimsuits because I haven’t found any that are modest and affordable. Many are $70 a piece, more than my budget allows for. I wear long shorts or jeans and a t-shirt. But anyway, I’m not a weird, fringe-type person. I’m quite as modern as any in using computers, electricity, cars, etc. I am quite conservative in areas of modesty, but you’d find me quite normal in others. I’m not your average teenager, I act more like I’m 25, but I’m not ashamed of that fact.

Public Pools

"I have been to several public indoor pools wearing my 3/4 length tracksuit bottoms, which are nearly down to my ankles. None of the staff questioned me why I was wearing them for swimming. They are clearly classed as swimwear. I was not the only one in the pool with these, several other guys looked great in their T-shirts and 3/4 length shorts."

Double Standards

Did anyone ever think to ask the question why it is that we feel the urge to insist that a woman cover her breasts at all, but don't insist upon the same thing with regard to men?

I mean if you actually think about it, a woman's breasts and a man's breasts are, by all appearances, identical. Indeed when it comes to breast-size many men beat out many women in this particular area (probably much to the chagrin of the former).

It would be nice to find other people who have also taken the time to think rationally and objectively about this peculiar societal double standard.

Personally, I choose to express my individuality and pick swimwear that suits my mood and style. There is so many options if you just widen your swimwear horizon.
